What Monthly Bookkeeping Includes
- Every transaction categorized. Bank, credit card, and payment processor activity, including Square, Stripe, and Shopify, recorded the same way every month.
- Accounts reconciled. Bank and credit card accounts tied out to their statements each month, so the numbers are complete.
- Processing fees captured. Deposits are recorded at the full sale amount, with fees tracked as deductible expenses.
- A monthly report. Revenue, expenses, and profit in clear terms, plus how much to set aside for taxes.
Payroll Oversight
Payroll runs through a provider such as Gusto, which calculates withholding, makes the deposits, and files your payroll returns. We set it up correctly, review it every quarter, reconcile it to your books, and make sure the quarterly federal payroll returns (Form 941), the annual Form 940, your Florida reemployment tax reports, and year-end W-2s line up with what you actually paid.
For S corporation owners, we also document a reasonable salary for you, one of the first things the IRS looks at.

Usually within ten business days after your statements are available. You'll see your monthly report in the client portal.
Do You Run Payroll?
Payroll runs through a provider such as Gusto, which files the payroll returns. We set it up, review it every quarter, reconcile it to your books, and catch problems before they become notices.
Do I Have to Switch Bookkeeping Software?
We work in QuickBooks Online and Xero. If you use either one, nothing changes. If you use something else or a spreadsheet, we'll move your books over during onboarding. The software subscription isn't included in our package prices.
